Group breakfast started off well for Viv. She’s such a good cook, so I don’t know what’s going on here.

At least it didn’t look burnt when they were eating it.

Lak took a little longer to get there.

Emilia tried to appease the gnomes. We’ve not had gnomes before so this is a new experience for us all.

The gnome seems mad, maybe he didn’t like pie?

But some singing seemed to cheer him up.

Argh…..there’s a scary red gnome in the living room.

And now there’s loads of them in the kitchen. What are they up to?

Everyone got dressed up in their winter clothes to go outside for the first flakes of snow. Which was quite special for Thanksgiving. But it didn’t last very long.

Now the gnomes are in Emilia’s room. How do I get them to go away?

They really didn’t like Ray’s gift. Ouch!

Let’s just forget about the gnomes and sit down to a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Emilia had invited Baby, and I hoped he’d also join us for dinner. But when dinner came round I couldn’t find him anywhere.

Ray is really hands-on with his little niece. Emilia has been having quite a few work things to do that have taken her out of the house, so Ray’s been helping a lot. Although I feel sort of guilty that maybe Lak isn’t getting the attention from her Mum as much.

Ray went to do his homework, and Emilia wanted to use the computer…..in Viv’s room whilst she was sleeping for some reason.

Emilia went and met Baby in the park. She really liked their meeting the other day, so she wanted to see if the spark was still there.

Baby wanted a kiss, but he got turned down. I guess Emilia is still tied to Channing. There’s going to have to be a conversation I think.

The flirting would get so far, and then things would get awkward. I think Baby is a good guy. He’s definitely not a Jayce!!!

Emilia got straight on letting Channing down when she got home. She invited him over.

Emilia let down Chan next to the stairs in the hallway. He doesn’t seem that bothered. In fact I’m not sure he’s even met his daughter. And when in the same house as her he doesn’t seem to even want to see her.

Lak is bobbing up and down at Viv for some reason. I think it’s dancing, but I always think it makes toddlers look like they need the toilet.

My goodness, I turn my back for one second and look at the mess on the floor. Ray didn’t even notice!

Viv heads out to complete some work from home tasks. She’s all dressed up in her Winter woolies, her neighbour looks like she might catch a chill in that skimpy top and bare midriff. My grandmother would have had a heart attack, where is that young woman’s vest?! 😀

Viv had recommended a restaurant and then later got a call to check it out, so off they went together. Turns out it was Peachy Bean.

There happens to be a very good looking host. Hello!!!!

Emilia has some work from home jobs to do, which involve uploading photos. I decide that I could kill two birds with one stone and send her out to take pics, and also see if she can do some flirting.

Give it up Emilia, this guys married to Alexander Goth. It also turns out that he’s grumpy and mean. What a combination.

There must be loads of hunks down the gym. Emilia takes her frustration out on the punching bag whilst she waits for all the hot men to turn up.

Instead Jayce’s ghost calls and invites her round. I’m curious to see where it is he’s meant to be inviting her to. But it turns out he just shows up at the gym. They have a hug and then Emilia leaves. There are no hot men around here!

I send her to my gym in Newcrest called (I can’t remember right now, but I am tired) 😀

She’s really hungry, so has a snack whilst sat in reception.

She also needs a shower, and then goes off to climb the climbing wall in just her towel. I was curious to see if she’d climb in that. But she did change into her gym clothes first.

At this point, I’ve just downloaded Seasons.

I just had to share with you Viv’s auto-generated look for hot weather haha

Now you may remember in an early (much earlier) post there had been notification that Clara Bjergsen had a baby, and they called him Baby. And I joked that he may be a potential suitor for Emilia. Well, half joked. I decided to see whether he might be. She hadn’t managed to run into him in any community lot, so I thought I’d just send her round to the house.

Looks like his parents have passed away, and both his sisters have moved out and had families of their own. Pretty sweet digs for a young adult.

Emilia finds him upstairs and they sit down at the chess table for a chat.

He’s cute, a bit skinny, but cute. I think she likes the blonde haired one’s. Emilia is really hungry at this point and also getting tired. But I don’t want to send her home just yet.

Where’s he going? Oh typical, just as they were getting along.

Oh he’s grilling food….and Emilia is starving. Nice shout Baby!

He’s placed the grilled fruit behind the bbq for some reason.

After eating some, Emilia also bags some up for lunch the next day. She has to do this from behind the bbq, and clipping through the wall. Good food though Baby.

He disappears again. Oh he went inside to turn the fire on because it was getting chilly outside. Nice. Emilia seems to appreciate it.

Where’s he gone now? Oh he’s collected all the dirty dishes from outside and is doing the washing up. Ok this one’s a keeper……Channing who?!!!!!

Erm Viv? You have a dining table in the other room. Don’t fancy sitting at that? I think it’s a little bit more comfortable than kneeling on the kitchen floor. Probably a bit cleaner too 🙂

So Viv threw a party for Ray and it was also Lakshmi’s birthday too. Not many people turned up who were invited. I’m not entirely sure why. The chef abandoned the kitchen before the birthday cake was even made. I had to get Viv to finish it off. And look how dirty that counter is!!!!

Yay, Ray blew out his candles. Oh now here’s the chef, couldn’t be bothered to make the cake though.

Oh wow. Erm……hmmmm…..wow. Now that’s a look! I thought that Ray might get Viv’s nose, but I think this is even bigger than Viv’s!

Yeah I’d look worried too love, if I’d just seen that ageing up happen.

Ray doesn’t look too pleased about it all either.

Apart from the nose, everything else seems quite average. His ears look quite large but they don’t stick out like Viv’s do.

I checked out all the outfits generated for him. Yup, he really needs to look better. These fashion choices are not helping.

Formal

The bedtime look isn’t all that bad, but why do they always put glasses on the Sims? You take glasses off to sleep. Also, whilst I love the slippers they always leave them on when they climb into bed. No one does that for real!

Yeah glasses don’t sit well with Viv or Ray, they just seem to hover.

So here is Ray’s new threads. I gave him a new hairstyle too. To try and even out the nose. Oh who am I kidding, no hairstyle is going to hide that. It’s a big old muppet nose if ever I saw one 😀

Better party look for a teen I think.

There is really no one at this party. Is it any wonder it finished as a bronze event.

I did find Ray’s one friend, who is related to Akira (might be a son) upstairs. Who’s made all this mess around the baby?!

Oi, you little shit! Who goes to someone else’s house, to a party and then just throws paint around. I tried to get Viv to tell him off, but it didn’t seem to be an option.

I was so engrossed trying to get Viv to tell off Ray’s school friend, that I missed Lakshmi ageing up with Emilia.

But here she is. The first thing I noticed was the size of her head, it seems to be quite large. But she looks cute from the front.

You can definitely see something going on with the cheeks and cheekbones. I wonder if she’s going to get Channing’s strange face shape.

From the side it just looks very flat. Bit difficult to tell if she’ll get an over or under bite.

Awww Ray looking after Lakshmi is cute. So do you say half-niece? He’s her half-Uncle? I’m not sure how it works. Or maybe you just say niece and uncle, even when you are only half related.

After feeding her, he taught her some words.

First of all, before I get into this I’m excited because I just got Seasons in the Black Friday sale on origin. And was cheaper than the place I usually buy my packs from. So I’m so happy! As yet I haven’t played my game since downloading. These images are all from yesterday. As soon as I’ve finished blogging I’m going to have a play….can’t wait!!!!!

I was looking at Emilia holding Lakshmi and noticed how her arms seem to be really really skinny. Do they seem unusually skinny to anyone else?

Emilia has to level up her photography skill so I’ve been trying to get her to take more pics. Here’s a couple from outside the house. The neighbourhood is so pretty. I love that there are weeping willows, they’re one of my favourite trees. When I was a little girl there used to be a weeping willow tree in front of my school in the playground. I used to love sitting under it and feel like I was in a different place. The leaves would bend down so low that they nearly touched the ground. You could pretend that you were sat under that tree away from everything. I loved it!

Now that Emilia has the social media career and needs a computer (she was given one when she was promoted which I put on the other desk), and Viv needs a computer to write as well, I took the old computer from the family inventory and placed it on a desk in Viv’s room. Now they won’t have to fight over who uses it.

I sent Viv and Emilia out to see if they could get a little action. Where are all the men though? There’s twice as many women out than men, and all the men out are married. Except for the bartender, so Viv flirts with him.

She asks to see his party clothes, and he obliges. That’s an interesting bulge you got there mister, or maybe you’re just happy to see Viv? Apparently not, since he seems to respond well to Viv’s flirting, but reacts negatively to her giving him a compliment on his looks

Emilia takes a few selfie’s. But someone gets their bog ol’ bonce in the way.

Yeah, I always eat in the bathroom too. So hygienic!

Lakshmi was not happy, Emilia was about to go tend to her and when I looked Shingo had got everything sorted. Ghosts are extremely useful in this game.

I think I need to move this inspirational poster, or tun off the aura. Every time someone goes to do some work on the computer, they get so energised they can’t help but drop and do some exercise.

Shingo and Viv becoming best friends. About two mins later apparently they weren’t best friends anymore.

Viv got some new work clothes. At least she could get rid of that horrible skirt she had to wear. The jacket is still bad…yikes!

She made Ray laugh by pulling funny faces at him.

Since there is a playground right next to the house, I thought I’d send Ray to play with some of the kids hanging around there.

I sent Viv and Emilia over to Creekside Smooth bar, which I had placed in the neighbourhood. I was hoping Viv might meet a toyboy, but everyone seems to be married.

Emilia had been promoted to Ensemble Author and needed to get Level 4 writing skill and Level 2 photography. She also had a work from home assignment, which was to draw on a sketchpad for two hours.

But she kept trying to do other things, like play basketball. Because obviously that’s the first thing you feel like doing when heavily pregnant.

Emilia decided to take a selfie.

Uh-oh, Emilia didn’t get to the toilet in time. Sorry luv, my mistake.

Since we had a few extra funds I spruced up the upstairs bathroom. It was also because the toilet kept breaking all the time, and also I hated the bath/shower combo.

I sent Viv out to do, well I’m not sure. I think I wanted her to meet some new people. But there was some really crazy clipping going on.

Yeah, I’m really not sure that’s meant to happen.

Just after the crazy clipping things started to go a bit loopy. I had to reset Viv, but then she just stood there with her arms out. I tried to go into manage worlds, but got stuck on the loading screen for five minutes. I decided to force quit. I went and checked on my mods and found a new MCCC update. When I upgraded to that one, things appeared to sort themselves out.

Back in the game and when I got Viv home it looked like Emilia was already in labour. The basket was there, so no chance of sending her to the hospital. Ray didn’t seem to be fazed at all by his sister giving birth in the living room. He just carried on dancing to the stereo.

And it’s a girl! I did a random first name choice and we got Lakshmi. So Lakshmi Milligan it is. I rolled a few more times to see what else would come up. Next roll was Michael, and the one after that was Isis. So I think we’ll stick with Lakshmi haha 🙂

Whilst redecorating the bathroom I noticed a new wallpaper I hadn’t seen before. I added some feature walls to Emilia’s room.

So Generation 2 is happening. I wonder what lovely features Lakshmi will inherit from her lovely looking Daddy? Also Ray is due to age up in a few days, I’m betting he has Viv’s nose!

Birthday day. And we threw a party. Don’t know if anyone else finds this annoying, but when planning an event, why can you only invite the Sims that the person hosting the party knows? Emilia can’t host a party, because she’s a child. But Viv doesn’t know Emilia’s friends. So I had to invite people Viv knows, and then get Emilia to call her friends once the party had started to invite them to hang out.

Also, the cook made the cake but before Viv could put some candles on it, Shingo stole a piece. So I had to get Viv to bake another cake. Then when the party had finished there was a black and white cake sitting on the table. So confusing!

And yep, just as I suspected. She’s pretty!!!!! She didn’t get Viv’s nose, ears, downturned mouth or small eyes, or the gap in her teeth. I guess Viv’s features weren’t quite extreme enough.

Emilia randomly got assigned the Master Chef aspiration, which actually makes sense since Viv is a glutton and food critic, and Shingo is a foodie. And she got the Cat Lover trait…..awww…..maybe we’ll have to get a kitten 🙂

She does appear to have inherited Viv’s boobs and large hips. And are her forearms a little bigger than the tops of her arms? She certainly seems to be quite skinny at the very top of her body.

It was a little difficult to see his face shape with the hat on, so we had to change that. He looks pretty normal and cute. Also….red hair? I wonder whether Shingo had red hair originally.

His chin is a little set back in the side view. And do his ears look a little on the large side?

Whilst Viv and Emilia were asleep, Akira stayed all night. First he put himself to good use fixing the broken computer. And then he went and stood in the hallway staring at the wall for three hours. He didn’t sleep at all. Hey Akira buddy, you ok? Is something wrong? Do you need to talk?

I know you’re trying to be super helpful mate, but mopping the floor whilst the toilet is still spurting out water isn’t going to achieve much.

Akira is really tense, and Viv hasn’t been out much lately so I decide to send them on a group outing to Serenity Spa & Yoga. Just so happens to be a spa that I built (It is up on the gallery if anyone wants to download it. My ID is – SparklyB)

It was built specifically for Newcrest. I built a number of buildings for Newcrest to make it more of a destination including a cafe, restaurant, lounge, spa and gym.

Here’s Viv partaking in a little yoga in the yoga studio. Funny story – In another game I’d sent my Sim to a yoga class and when I wasn’t looking the instructor died in the middle of the class. I’d only glanced away for a second and when I looked back there was an urn on the floor. No one reacted either, they all just carried on as if it hadn’t happened.

Viv joins a few others in the sauna. I’ve not seen her in a towel before, and what’s with the hat? 😀

Viv travels home without Akira, I think we may have fixed the problem of him always being here. Maybe now he’ll get home to his family. He’s meant to be a stay at home Dad. He wasn’t doing much of that for the last few days. Emilia is getting on with her homework. I’m trying my hardest to get her to an A student.

Then suddenly I see someone run past the apartment down on the street. I wonder what Ishaan is doing running around in his towel outside? Maybe he saw a ghost 😀

Ok so I was inspired by MaggieMarley over on the Sims 4 forum to do a Breed Out The Ugly challenge. This is my first Sims challenge, and I was so amused by MM’s posts, i just had to give it a go.

I’m sticking to the same rules, which are as follows;

1. Only one child per generation (unless the heir has twins/triplets, that is). First born is heir. This is intended to make the challenge more difficult by preventing me from simply choosing the most attractive child.
2. The founder (or in later generations, the heir) will choose their partner based on their looks.
3. No editing of offspring’s features in CAS.
4. Partners must be premades or townies. No downloading of spouses from the gallery, no creating spouses and I cannot edit their features.
5. All offspring are to take the founder’s surname.
6. I will use a legacy trait generator to determine the traits of offspring.
7. Aging on for unplayed and played households.

So here is my Sim. Her name is Vivienne Milligan (random name generated) She is a glutton, cheerful, family-oriented and domestic.

What you can’t see from the photo is the ‘Madonna’ gap between her teeth. Which I was always told makes you able to sing better. She’ll be warbling down at the old karaoke in no time.

My concern is, have I made her ugly enough? I usually spend my time creating really attractive Sims, it’s like I just can’t help it. I feel I’m being mean by making them look unattractive, so I end up with really attractive worlds. I’m trying to add in a few more interesting looks, so everyone isn’t so uniformed.

This is also my first time taking photos and creating a blog. So you will have to bear with me. I think I’m getting the hang of taking the photos a little better as I’m going along.
